How to request a refund for a purchased template
Learn how to check refund policies, contact a creator, and get help from Framer if needed.
If you’ve purchased a template from the Framer Marketplace and want to request a refund, the process depends on the creator’s individual policy. This guide walks you through the steps to take and what to expect.
Check the creator’s refund policy
Every template on the Framer Marketplace includes a refund policy on the checkout page. Review this policy carefully before reaching out.
Some creators only offer refunds for critical bugs or technical issues. Others may not allow refunds once the template has been downloaded. If no refund policy is listed, note this when you contact the creator and politely ask how they handle refund requests.
Understanding the policy upfront helps set clear expectations and avoids unnecessary back-and-forth.
Contact the template creator
Refund requests should always start with the template creator. You can find the creator’s support email directly on the template’s Marketplace listing.
When reaching out, clearly explain why you’re requesting a refund. This might include a technical issue, unmet expectations, or another specific concern. Include any relevant details that help explain the situation. A clear and respectful message improves the chances of a positive response.
If you don’t hear back
If the creator hasn’t replied after about a week, send a polite follow-up message to check in. If there’s still no response, contact our support team and include your purchase details along with proof that you attempted to reach the creator. While Framer doesn’t issue refunds or make refund decisions, the team can help facilitate communication.
Because templates are sold by independent creators, refunds aren’t handled through a centralized system. Following these steps gives you the best chance of reaching a fair resolution, even if Framer can’t directly approve the refund.
