Prototyping plans

Learn what happened to Framer’s prototyping plans and what it means for your projects.

Framer discontinued its standalone prototyping plans in May 2022. This article explains what happens if you cancel an existing prototyping plan and how to move to a current site plan.

For an overview of our current offerings, visit our Pricing page.

What happens when you cancel a prototyping plan

If you cancel your existing prototyping plan, your workspace will transition automatically. Here’s what to expect:

  • Conversion to a Free site plan: Your projects move to Framer’s Free site plan.

  • “Made in Framer” banner: Any new project you publish will display a “Made in Framer” banner.

Your existing work remains accessible, but publishing and feature availability depend on the limits of the Free site plan.

Upgrading to a current site plan

You can upgrade your workspace at any time by selecting a paid site plan. When you upgrade your first site within a workspace:

  • Workspace features are unlocked: All users in the workspace gain access to the features included in the selected site plan.

  • Collaboration continues without interruption: Your team can keep working without losing access during the transition.
