Delivering paid components
Learn how to deliver paid components so installs are tracked correctly in the Framer Marketplace.
Installs are only tracked when a customer installs your component using its Component URL.
If you share a remix link, the customer creates a separate copy of the component. These copies are not connected to your Marketplace listing, so installs from remix links are not tracked.
Best practices
After a purchase, always share the Component URL from your Marketplace listing so customers install the component directly from Framer and their install is tracked correctly. To prevent mistakes, include a short installation guide in your delivery message or purchase confirmation that explains how to install the component using this link.
If you’re sharing the Component URL and still see fewer installs than sales, contact creators@framer.com and we’ll help you investigate.
How are install metrics tracked for components sold in the Framer Marketplace?
The install count in your Marketplace dashboard only increases when a customer installs your component using its Component URL. Installs made through remix links are not tracked in your dashboard metrics.
What is the best way to deliver paid components to ensure installs are tracked correctly?
Always share the Component URL with your customers after purchase. The Component URL is what Framer uses to track installs. Avoid sharing remix links, as they create independent copies that are not counted toward your install metrics.
What should I do if my install count is lower than my sales?
If you’re already sharing the Component URL but still see fewer installs than sales, please reach out to creators@framer.com and the Framer team will help you investigate further.
