How the creator program works

Turn your Framer expertise into income through templates and referrals.

Framer’s Creator Program helps designers, developers, and makers turn creativity into income. By joining, you can share your work, grow your audience, and earn through Marketplace sales or affiliate commissions—all managed through the Links tab in your Creator Dashboard.

Joining the program

There are a few ways to become a Creator, depending on how you already use Framer.

If you’ve published a Template, Plugin, Component, or Vector Set in the Marketplace, you’re automatically verified and enrolled—no extra steps needed. Verified Framer Experts also gain access to the program automatically.

If you haven’t published yet, you can apply manually through the Links tab in your Creator Dashboard. Applications are reviewed based on the quality of your work, your audience relevance, and how you plan to promote Framer.

Once approved, you’ll see the Links tab unlocked and ready to use for generating referral links and tracking your activity.

How earning works

The Creator Program rewards you in two ways: direct sales of your Marketplace products and commissions when users upgrade to paid Framer plans through your template links.

Templates are the only Marketplace product type that qualifies for referral commissions. You can publish both free and paid templates in the Framer Marketplace, and you’ll keep 100% of your sales revenue from paid templates.

If a user upgrades to a paid Framer plan through your template’s remix link, you’ll also earn a 50% commission on their first year’s subscription. These earnings only apply when the upgrade happens through a template you’ve published.

Plugins, Components, and Vectors do not generate referral commissions, even if users install or remix them. They can still be sold for direct revenue, but upgrades through these product types aren’t eligible for affiliate rewards.

Note: Only upgrades to site plans, editors, and locales qualify for commission rewards.

Review process

If you apply manually, your submission will be reviewed within a few days. Reviewers consider the quality and originality of your templates, how you plan to promote Framer, and how engaged your audience is.

If approved, you’ll receive confirmation and immediate access to the Links tab. If your application isn’t accepted, you can update your work and reapply at any time.

Next steps

Once you’re in the Creator Program, start by publishing your first template, then share your remix links wherever your audience is—on your website, YouTube channel, or social media. Each upgrade through your templates helps grow both your impact and your earnings.
