One-click page editing

On sites where you’re an owner or editor, you’ll see a circular button with the Framer logo on the right side of the screen. It allows you to instantly open the current page in Framer for quick editing.

When does the button appear?

The button is only visible to site owners and collaborators, never to visitors on production sites. Production sites are those that use a custom domain, including free ones. On staging links, the button is always visible. After a site is published, the button shows up on the right side of the screen. This is a new iteration of the Framer editor bar, currently available for projects in Beta.

Why do I have to choose between app or browser?

The first time you click the button, you can set a preference about where you want the project to be opened: in the Framer App, or the browser. We recommend to choose the place where you normally edit your projects. Once set, your preference will be remembered in future sessions.

What does “Edit Page” do?

When you visit a regular page, the button lets you instantly open that page in the Framer Canvas, ready to edit. If you’re viewing a CMS page, the button takes you directly to that specific item in the project’s CMS. For example, if you’re looking at a “Getting Started” blog post, clicking the “Edit Page” button will open the corresponding “Getting Started” entry in the CMS.

Can I hide the button?

Yes, you can click “Hide” to hide the button for seven days.
