Optimizing Projects

When opening certain projects, you might see a little modal window showing that your project requires optimization. This means we’ve found layers in your project that can be enhanced for better performance. This will make your project faster to load and edit, without affecting the visual appearance of your site. If you’d like to do this later, you can choose to cancel for now. However, the modal will reappear on every open, until the optimizations are completed.

Framer used to do some heavy computation when loading projects, mainly computing hashes for SVG graphics, so we knew which ones were unique. With this new update we can now skip these, resulting in a big speed-up. Please let us know if you encounter any issues.
