How affiliate links work
Learn how affiliate links track referrals, earn commissions, and connect to your Creator Program account.
Affiliate links allow you to earn commissions when new users sign up for Framer through your unique referral links and later purchase a subscription.
Get your affiliate links
Anyone who is manually approved, publishes a product in the Community, or joins as a Framer Expert becomes part of the Creator Program.
Once you’re enrolled, you’ll see a Links tab in your Community profile settings.
From there, you can:
Access your primary affiliate link.
Create custom links for specific campaigns or destinations.
View remix links generated from projects you share.
Monitor clicks, sign-ups, subscriptions, and earnings.
Your primary affiliate link is a permanent URL that can be shared anywhere, including social media, newsletters, websites, and portfolios.
How affiliate tracking works
Affiliate links are powered by Dub, which handles referral tracking and payouts.
To receive payouts:
Open the Links tab in your Community profile settings.
Access your Dub account.
Add or update your payout information.
Payouts are processed through Stripe.
You can also use Dub to:
View referral analytics.
Track commissions.
Manage affiliate links.
Update payout details.
Sign-up links
Sign-up links can point to any page on framer.com, including pricing pages, templates, blog posts, and Help Center articles.
When someone signs up for Framer through your affiliate link and later purchases a subscription, you may earn a commission.
To create a new sign-up link:
Open the Links tab in your Community profile settings.
Click the plus icon.
Select a destination page on Framer.
Save and share the link.
Important considerations
Keep the following in mind when using sign-up links:
Sign-up links only work for new users. Existing Framer users cannot be attributed through affiliate sign-up links.
Template purchases take priority over sign-up referrals. If a user purchases a template, the template creator receives the commission.
For client projects, remix links are recommended because they track subscriptions associated with the shared project.
Customize your affiliate link
You can customize your affiliate link handle through Dub.
To update your link:
Open Dub.
Open the Affiliate Links folder.
Select your primary affiliate link.
Unlock the link.
Update the slug.
Be aware that changing a slug disables the previous URL. Any old links will stop tracking referrals and redirect visitors to the Framer homepage.
