Adding Links in Framer
Linking to other Pages or external URLs
With the Link property, adding connectivity to any text layer or frame is a straightforward process. Whether it's an intra-site page link or a connection to an external URL, the selection process is as simple as a click. You can quickly add a link from the Properties Panel or by using the shortcut L
on the keyboard.
Linking to a Specific Section
Another exciting feature we offer is the ability to link to specific sections within a page using a scroll section. The setup process is straightforward: navigate to the element you want to anchor to and enable the Scroll Target property. Once you've assigned a name to the target, it becomes available in the link dropdown list.
Personalizing Text Links with Link Styles
When adding a link to a text box or range of text, we can customize the appearance of the text to differentiate it as something interactive. To define a 'Link Style', you can use the Style property, located within the Link section on the properties panel. From there, you can run with the defaults or let your creativity run wild by creating your own. You can define individual states for default, hover, and active — and you'll only need to worry about a small subset of text properties to customize: color and decoration.
