Requirements and browser support

Framer supports modern browsers for published sites and the Framer Canvas. This article explains the supported browser versions, operating systems, crawler behavior, and a few known limitations.

Browser support for published Framer sites

Published Framer sites support these browsers and later versions:

Framer supports all operating systems that can run these browser versions, including macOS, Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS.

Support for modern CSS features

Framer continues to adopt modern CSS features to expand design flexibility. Because of this, some older browsers may not fully support every feature.

In some cases, Framer uses fallbacks or polyfills to preserve functionality. This can still lead to small differences in layout or behavior across browsers. For more details, refer to the CSS styles support help article.

Crawler and bot support

Framer sites are crawlable and indexable by search engines and bots unless a page is set to “noindex”.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Bingbot

• YandexBot

• GPTBot

• AhrefsBot

• PerplexityBot

Framer actively monitors bot traffic and checks for errors encountered by Google crawlers.

Requirements for using the Framer app

To use the Framer Canvas, you need:

1. An internet connection

2. A device running Windows, macOS, Linux, or ChromeOS

3. A recent version of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge

Framer also offers a desktop app for macOS and Windows.
